This is kind of late but better late than never. I’m gonna give a quick rundown of everything I would like to read this month. I do not plan on participating in any readathons this month because I kind of overdid it last month. Here are the books and a few of the ARCs (advanced reader copies) that I would like to read this month.
Salvage the Bones by Jesmyn Ward – I would really like to read this before I pick up her new book Sing, Unburied, Sing (out today, September 5).
Negroland by Margo Jefferson – This book has been on radar for a while and it was finally at the library, so I picked it up. It’s an autobiography of Margo Jefferson’s time growing up in an affluent black neighborhood during the civil rights movement.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling – Let’s be real, I probably will not finish this within this month. I am excited because this will be my first time reading this one and I’m just excited! (But this book is HUGE!)
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs – For some odd reason this book has been calling out to me. I can’t explain it but I’m ready to read it.
Shelter by Jung Yun – I have the physical copy and I checked out the audiobook. I’m excited to get into this story.
Advanced Reader Copies
Girlcott by Florenz Webbe Maxwell (Releasing September 15) – I got approved for this one on Netgalley and I want to do a full review for it.
Into the Shadowlands (Monster or Die #2) by Cynthia Reeg (Releasing October 10) – This is another one I got approved for on Netgalley. It’s middle grade and it’s a little creepy. May be a good Halloween read, but we’ll see. Plus this is Mays (my son’s) favorite kind of story.
Lumberjanes: Unicorn Power! by Mariko Tamaki (Releasing October 10) – This is a novelization of Lumberjanes the graphic novel series. That’s description enough for me because I LOVE this graphic novel series.
I will talk about New Releases I hope to pick up and read in a different post because there are so many!
As you know, I find TBRs stressful, so I don’t want to set a rigid one. I will probably just pick up some other stuff throughout the month as I am trying to shrink my TBR shelf.
What are you planning to read this month? And don’t forget to follow me on all of my social medias.
Much Love,
Tasha

Good luck with Order of the Phoenix… I know it’s a huge book, but I promise it’s worth it! ☺
