Hey y’all!! I have been a reading slump and I don’t like it! I have been picking up things but I have not been able to finish anything this week. 😦 That’s okay I feel the slump lessening so here is what I plan to read/finishing over the upcoming weekend.
Interpreter of Maladies by Jhumpa Lahiri – I am thoroughly enjoying this short story collection. I have a couple of projects that will go into next year that I’m working on and this book was on my list. I have about 3 stories left, so I should be able to finish this one.
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer – I did not know anything about this book, but I have always been interested in this author, so I picked up his (arguably) most famous book. I am enjoying it so far but it did take me a minute to get fully into his stream of consciousness way of writing.
Girlcott by Florence Webbe Maxwell – This is an ARC I received from Netgalley. This is a middle grade book about a girl living in Bermuda and there is some big protest about to happen. I’m not far into it so I don’t even have an opinion on it.
Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyer – This is a buddy read that I have been doing over the past couple of months with my mom and other family members. We are loving this book and I need to finish before our last meetup with is Sunday.
Lastly I am still tackling
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling – I am LOVING this book so much! I’m not even halfway through because I am savoring every word. The character development in this one is so much more than I thought it would be.
That’s it for everything I either want to complete or make a large dent in over the weekend.
What are you reading this weekend? Have you read any of these books? Which one should I prioritize?
Much Love,
Tasha
