Blogmas Day 8: Friday Reads December 8

Hey y’all for Blogmas 8 I thought I would do a Friday Reads.  I have some time off today and I don’t plan on doing much this weekend outside of the house so I should be able to get some major reading done and some good movies watched.  Plus, it’s cold in Texas this weekend, and this Texans doesn’t do cold. Here is what I plan to finish this weekend and also what I potentially plan to watch this weekend with Mayson.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling – OMG!! This is turning into one of my favorites from the series! I am enjoying the backstory we get of Voldemort and I have thoughts about Ron and Hermione but I’ll save those.  Anyway, I am thoroughly enjoying this book.

Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI by David Grann – This book has been fascinating so far.  I’m almost halfway through this and it has been such a page turner. The treatment of these people by the US Government and the white settlers. I just have such strong emotions about it.

My current audiobook listen is A Kind of Freedom by Margaret Wilkerson Sexton.  This is a family saga set in New Orleans and begins in the 1950’s or 60’s.  We follow a black family through generations.  I am only about an hour and a half in and absolutely loving this story.

In addition to all of this reading, I hope me and Mays will get to watch Elf and How the Grinch Stole Christmas.  These are some of our favorites and we usually watch it a couple times over the season.

What are your weekend plans? What are you currently reading? Let’s chat in the comments.

Why aren’t you following me on social media?

Much Love,

Tasha
