24 in 48 Readathon TBR

Hey y’all! I decided on Wednesday that I was going to participate in this readathon. The goal of this readathon is to read 24 hours in a 48 hour time period. The readthon runs from 12 a.m. on January 27 and ends at 11:59 on January 28th. For official rules go to the website here. I’m excited to participate because I have few things to do this weekend (namely a library book sale) and then I will be at home. I don’t believe that I will hit 24 hours but at least I may be able to get through some books. Here is my TBR for the readathon:

The Prey of Gods by Nicky Drayden – I am about 40% through this book and it’s due back to the library soon, so this is the perfect opportunity to get this one knocked out.

The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri – I’m only about a quarter through this book but I’m really enjoying this story. It’s about an Indian couple who immigrated from Calcutta and them raising their children in America. It focuses on the cultural difference and it’s so interesting. I love Lahiri’s writing and this has been an easy read but I have learned so much and it’s made me aware of so much.

Young Jane Young by Gabrielle Zevin – This will be my audiobook listen while I go to the book sale and do things around the house. Also, I have a few things to take care of on Sunday too. This is a pretty short audiobook so I should be able to knock this one out.

That’s all I’m planning to pick up this weekend.  In between some of the larger novels, I may pick up some graphic novels and I have a play that I want to read.

Are you participating in the 24 in 48? What are you planning to read? Let’s chat in the comments.

Much Love,

Tasha
