Post A Day May: What I Read and Weekly TBR

Hey y’all! I’m back with another weekly wrap-up and TBR.  This week I read a lot but I only finished one book and one audiobook. But I felt like I did a lot of reading. Let’s talk about the books.

What I Finished

Waking Gods (Themis Files, #2)

Waking Gods by Sylvain Neuval (Themis Files #2) – I did not enjoy this book as much as I did the first one. There were some parts that did shock me but this felt like a filler book building up to the final book Only Human. I don’t really like when second books in the series can’t stand on their own. I will be completing the series.

Equal Rites (Discworld, #3)

Equal Rites by Terry Pratchett – OMG! This was my  first Terry Pratchett and I loved it. A full review of this book will be up at some point this week. But just know I’m all in for Discworld.

What I’m Currently Reading

Children of Blood and Bone (Legacy of Orïsha, #1)

Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi – I’m in the last 100 pages of this one and will probably finish it today.  I love the characters in this book but there are some elements that I’m just now getting on with. I will definitely do a Will I Continue? post once I finish this book.

The Way of Kings (The Stormlight Archive, #1)

The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson – This book is HUGE! But I’m proud of myself because this is my first adult epic fantasy and I actually know what’s going on. I have a favorite character and I find that when I get into this book, I read it fairly quickly. I’m only a quarter of the way through this book, so I don’t know how successful I will be with completing this for The One Readathon to Rule Them All. However, I will be continuing with it throughout the month.

What I Plan to Read

The Grace of Kings (The Dandelion Dynasty, #1)

The Grace of Kings by Ken Liu (The Dandelion Dynasty #1) – I read like 6 pages last night before I crashed. I don’t have thoughts on it but the goal is to complete this book by the end of this week for The One Readathon to Rule Them All.

The Song of Achilles

The Song of Achilles by  Madeline Miller – This will be my audiobook for the week and this will also complete two challenges for The One Readathon to Rule Them All. I’m excited to get to this one because I have been craving a little literary fiction and this will help that.

Here is everything that I just finished, currently reading, and planning to read. This is very ambitious but heck when am I not.

What are you planning to read this week? What have you recently finished? Let’s chat in the comments.
