Friday Reads October 26th

Hey y’all! Today I wanted to go over what I’ve read this week and what I plan to make my way through this weekend. This week was a slower reading week because it’s the end of the month and I don’t want to burn out before the A to Z Readathon, which I will discuss soon.

Currently Reading

Red Sister (Book of the Ancestor, #1)Bloody Rose (The Band, #2)

Red Sister by Mark Lawrence – I have a little over 100 pages left in this book and I’m listening to it on audio, so I should be able to finish it before the end of the weekend. I am enjoying it but the whole thing is basically a set up for the additional books in the trilogy. There is a plot twist coming that is pretty obvious what it will be but I am enjoying the characters.

Bloody Rose by Nicholas Eames – I am loving this book! I have laughed, cried, and cringed so many times. It’s an awesome ride and I just love Eames’ writing so much. I have about 200 pages left in this book and I have no doubt I will be able to finish it.

Next up

Thunderhead (Arc of a Scythe, #2)

Thunderhead by Neal Shusterman – This is the second book in the Arc of the Scythe series, the first being Scythe, and I am so excited to read this one. I thoroughly enjoyed Scythe and went to the library to pick up this sequel as soon as I finished.

I have a fall activity to do at the church but I have a large chunk of time this evening and tomorrow morning where I don’t have any plans. So I think that I can still get a lot of reading done over the weekend. I can’t wait to show y’all what I plan to read for the A to Z Readathon in November. I’m taking it easy here at the end of the month so I can read 26 books in November.

What are you guys reading this weekend? What are you currently reading? Let’s chat in the comments.
