Hey y’all!! So I have been trying to figure out a way to get back into the swing of reading and so I am making a TBR that is carefully curated so that I can try to get back to reading the 10-12 books that I used to read. So let’s get it! LOL
I have three ARCs that I need to read this month:

The Escape Room by Megan Goldin (St. Martin’s Press) releases July 30 – This is a thriller that takes place on an elevator escape room. I don’t know much else but it seems like a fun ride.
Shatter the Sky by Rebecca Kim Wells (Simon and Shuster) releases July 30 – This is a young adult fantasy featuring LGBTQ+ characters and dragons. I don’t know much else about it but I’m excited to find out.

The Last Hope by Krista and Becca Ritchie – This is the sequel to The Raging Ones which is a sci-fi about people who know their death day. Our main character’s death day comes and goes and the story takes off from there. I am almost finished with the Raging ones and I am on the blog tour for The Last Hope. I would like to get this one read before August.
I’m also in a book club at my local library and the book we are reading this month is The Feminine Mystique by Betty Friedan. This is the OG feminist book and I am excited to read it and see how it holds up after all of these years.
I’m still reading through Cassandra Clare’s book and I am up to Clockwork Prince in the reading order that I’m following. This is the second book in The Infernal Devices series which I am liking infinitely better than the first three books of The Mortal Instruments.
These area all of the books that I want to absolutely, for sure get read before the end of the month. The rest of the books that I hope to read or start before the end of the month are:
Honor Girl by Maggie Thrash – This is a coming of age graphic novel and I have heard nothing but good things about it.
Abaddon’s Gate by James S.A. Corey – This is the third book in The Expanse series. The Expanse series is slowly becoming one of my favorite sci-fi series.
A Blade so Black by L.L. McKinney – This is a young adult fantasy featuring a black main character and is essentially an Alice in Wonderland retelling. I’m interested to see my thoughts.
The Weight of Feathers by Anna-Marie McLemore – I have only read a short story by McLemore and I really enjoyed it. This has been on my shelf forever so I finally want to pick it up.
An Unkindness of Magicians by Kat Howard – This is, I believe, a standalone fantasy, that is suppose to be a fun fast read and there is a magical competition.
The Bride Test by Helen Hoang – This is a companion novel to The Kiss Quotient following the minor character from that book. This is a Book of the Month book that I own and I really want to get all of them read before the end of the year.
Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman – This is contemporary/literary fiction novel about a woman who has the same routine and then something happens and she starts to discover who she is and address her issues. This is another BOTM book that I hope to get off the stack.
This is my very ambitious July TBR. I have been back to reading at my normal speed and I have a few of these on audio, so I expect that I will be able to get through a lot of them. What are you planning on reading in July? Let’s chat in the comments.
